Review: King of Wall Street
King of Wall Street by Louise Bay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
*****5 Swoon Stars*****
This was my first read from Louise Bay and I was not disappointed at all. Harper lands her dream job as junior researcher for King & Associates the well-known investment research company. Max is CEO of King & Associates and is known for being blunt, tyrant and cold, demanding and King of Wall Street. Max is supposed to be her mentor, impressed by her skills and ambition. Turns out Max is nothing but an asshole to her and Harper hates him. Max hates Harper but for different reasons she blurs the lines for him, he finds Harper sexy and smart so him being an ass to her is not only for learning purpose but it’s to push her away from him. Harper doesn’t see his bluntness and coldness as something personal she just thinks that’s who he is. Some outside run in’s turn into some love/hate sex that is supposed to be their one night in Vegas but the attraction too strong for them both to deny; so one night in Vegas turns into couple more times. Max has never blurred the lines between work and personal but Harper blurring them. This book takes for a good ride, I loved Harper and Max story.
