The Protector is my first Jodi Ellen Malpas book; I won in Good Reads giveaways by the author. Camille is the daughter of one of the wealthiest men and he has many enemies; Camille has a wild past that she trying to put behind her. Camille father receive a threat from an unknown enemy but it was for him it was about Camille; to protect her he hire the best bodyguard Jake Sharp he’s an ex-military man, who came back from war carrying a lot of guilt and heavy secrets. The darkness that haunts him day and night, but he tries to tune it out through work, sex, and alcohol. Camille can recognize that her new bodyguard is dangerously sexy, but also he is extremely alpha and infuriating. A battle between Cami and Jake will unravel as he tries to protect her from harm, but the more they fight, the more the lust ignites between them, until one night the carnal desire for each other will win over anything else. But the heart wants what it wants. So they succumbed to it. Jake’s mission is to protect Cami from her father’s enemy and protect her from his past. Can Jake protect her and keep her?
