This was my first time reading anything by LA Casey and I was completely blown away, she made me cry. This book is raw, intense, beautiful, heart breaking; it will make you cry break you and then it will put you back together. I could not put this book down. This isn’t any regular best friend to lover’s romance. This is a gut wrenching journey for Lane and Kale who barely surviving, and one person saving them both, Uncle Harry. She is trying to escape the inner pain that comes with not being able to be with Kale who has her heart since she was 6; they were best friends and well Lane fell in love. Tragedy happens to Lane and Kale drops a bomb she runs to NY and cut’s all connection; then tragedy happens again that bring Lane home things becomes clear while facing everything she been running from for the last 6 years.
