Review: In This Life
In This Life by Cora Brent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
*****4.5 Life Stars*****
I really enjoyed this one and read it in one night. It was an easy flow read and not too much unnecessary drama. Nash is a man who has a bit of a dark side; Nate has seen tragedy and that has made him the man he is. When tragedy struck again, he knows he shouldn't have been surprised, but this time it’s not just himself he is now responsible for another person his four month old little brother. Kathleen is a single mother to an adorable little girl, who has come into her own and with her own set of problems and responsibilities and secrets of her own. Kate knew Nash when she was a young girl she was infatuated with him and followed him around everywhere. Kate has stepped in to look after this little baby until the guardian arrived and that guardian happened to be Nash. We get to read Kate and Nash really embracing the friendship angle while afraid to take things further because hearts could get involved. Tragedy is what brings these two together and yet their friendship is what is keeping them together and their slow burn romance is so beautiful. This was a good read!
