The Girl In The Closet The Girl In The Closet by Michelle Heard
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*****5 GOOD Stars*****
This book is such an easy read because it is so good. Birdie is a broken girl with the scars to prove it; her father was her very own personal boogieman. At the age of adopted twelve years ago by a pastor and his wife and this is when her life changes for the better but she will always have her scars and will always fear the her father will come back for her. Now at 17 Birdie fears haven’t changed but she does noticed Cole and stolen glances is all she thought she could have. Cole has always noticed Birdie but never acted on it because he knows she is not like every girl around. But fate steps in and something that could have been soon becomes memories for them both. Cole goes into the marines and returns years later with his own nightmares but due to living in the same town reconnects with Birdie the girl he never forgot. When Cole finds out Birdie in danger he steps up to help protect her. When Cole learns why Birdie the way she is he is determined to fight for her and help her fight for herself. I’m leaving so much because I don’t want to give anything away because this book is amazing.
