This is my first read by Dani Rene and enjoyed it. I’ve read dark and twisted books before but this story is deliciously brutal in the best way. Giuliana has grown up in a dangerous life. Her father (Arthur) is the head of the Cavalieri Della Marte. Lance Knight is Arthur’s most trusted assassin in the Tabella Della Morte. Lance is cold, calculated killer and his only weakness Giuliana Arthur’s young daughter. There love has been forbidden by Arthur and Giuliana has been shipped off. This book is about how you can’t really move on from the one you truly love.
