Blood to Dust Blood to Dust by L.J. Shen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*****5 WONDERFUL STARS*****
Prescott (Pea) a 25 year old woman who was born into a rich politician family and yet she lived on the very edge, far from the silver spoon, everyone perceived her as; only making her fall in love with the wrong guy she was young and naive. She loses everything her dysfunctional family, her beloved brother and the man she thought was her world. Nathaniel (Beat), a 27 year old ex-felon, the soldier, the killer, doing dirty deeds ordered by the kingpin Archer. Nate is a man who carries around sadness and is lost and violent but inside him lays peace. Prescott kidnapped for the things she did to her ex-lover and is given to Nate's care for until her ex comes for her. Slowly commutations starts between captor/captive sharing meals yet they slowly talk each other into their worlds with the mistrust and hidden agendas lingering in every single word they say to each other; they fight it, within each of them a menacing storm for survival, undeniable desires and attraction in the moment of imposed loneliness. Changing their course of their lives and changing these lifelines breaking all the rules only to find the righteousness in their actions. They find peace within one another; their outlet becomes carnal passion and loved.
This book took on this crazy ride with Prescott and Nate, their journey of heart break and filled with danger, gore, filled with revenge, chaos. I was on edge the whole time and loved it and this was my first time reading anything from L.J Shen she delivered a fantasist dark romance.
