Review: Necessary Evil

Necessary Evil Necessary Evil by Jamie K. Schmidt
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

****4.5 Hot Stars****
This was my first read for Jamie K. Schmidt and I was not disappointed at all. Lucy is a public defender, she has made it her life mission to make sure that every person who is tried on trial get a fair one whether they are guilt or not. Evan (Evil) is an ex-cop, bar owner, motorcycle riding; the SOB’S is his group that goes after murders, drug dealers, pedophile and rapist all criminals that get off with technicalities. The book starts with Lucy being mugged and Evan interrupts the mugging and comes in to save her and make sure she gets her purse back, this is where you think their story starts but it’s not it started 2 years ago at Even retirement party; things got hot heated and Lucy shuts it down not wanting just to be FWB (friends with benefits) and ever since has kept it that way. But Evan has fought his attraction to Lucy since that night. But now Evan is determined to make his claim on Lucy and Lucy determined to try to be the FWB that he once wanted her to be. The chemistry between these two is so explosive, the sex scenes WOW. Orders given to the SOB’s may be the reason they might not have a happy ending. I really liked this book, it was reads at a good pace, I can’t wait for more. It is definitely a must read or put on your must read list.
