Jax Jax by J.L. Perry
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*****5 Second Chance Stars*****
JL Perry simply knocked this right out; this story is so beautiful and raw and emotional rollercoaster. If this your first read by JL Perry you will not be disappointed Jax can be read a s a standalone and you should go back and read Bastard because Carter is like a bottle of red wine left to age and you get to meet Jax. Back to Jax; Jaxson (Jax) Albright a son of career politician and a son of socialite wife and a brother to a prefect son. Jax is the family outcast and the biggest disappointment to his family; trying everything to make his parents happy, living the life they want for him, but not the life he wants. Candice (Candylicious) is Jax solace from the world he hates so much, she his best friend and his happy place his biggest cheerleader. Candice is a daughter to single mother who loves her to no end and a daughter to a man who wants no parts of her life. Jax is Candice best friend and soul mate Jax is her other half. Jax is has been secretly in love with Candice and has never crossed the lines with Candice because she the only one who he has ever showed him what love is and their friendship means much more than anything else to him in the world and he won’t risk. Unfortunately things don't always work out that way a night of drinking before Jax leaves to University ruins everything. Fast forward seven years later Jax is now an owner of a tattoo shop not a politician is content with his life although he missing something he doesn’t have a family anymore and he doesn’t have his best friend anymore either; Candice is what he misses the most. Fate steps in and changes everything once again; a 2nd chance to have Candice back but only as his best friend because he will not risk not having her at all in his life. Can Jax get over lies and the lies? Can Candice forgive Jax? Will they find the way to be happy? This book is a must read!
